Liberty University’s new 800-seat auditorium to be ready by fall term

Liberty University soon will have its first “super-smart classroom” in the form of an 800-seat auditorium under construction behind the B.R. Lakin School of Religion.

The auditorium and the School of Religion will be known as the Towns Alumni Ministry Training Center, and should be ready for students by fall, Dean Elmer Towns said…. Read the rest of the story.

 State Senate Passes Falwell Parkway Bill

A bill to rename part of Route 460 in honor of Jerry Falwell passed the state Senate Wednesday.  Virginia Senators voted unanimously on Senator Steve Newman’s bill to rename the road the Jerry Falwell Parkway. The bill still faces the House though.  If it passes, a section near Wards Road and Liberty University would receive the new name.
